Meet Our Founder, Kenya Wright
Hi! I’m Kenya Wright, and I created Butterfly Bearthworks to help introduce a new standard for construction globally. My core vision is to build beautiful earthen structures that reconnect us with the simple joy of being. I’ve been a natural builder since 2016 and helped folks of many income levels complete earthen building projects.
Beyond my work as a builder, I have a deep passion for personal transformation and energy healing. I’m a Reiki Master Teacher, Transformational Coach, and Doula. These interests merge with my natural building talents to create structures that are healing by design.

Worked at Community Rebuilds for 3 seasons as an intern and then an apprentice. Co-taught foundation to finish straw bale construction to new interns. Completed 4 full-scale permitted builds.
Offers consultations, design support, construction services, and instructional workshops.
Specializes in Straw bale Construction, Earthbag Construction, and transforming existing spaces with earthen plaster elements.
Based in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Costa Rica, and California. Open to traveling.
